Diabetes Initiatives

Diabetes Types A Blog emerged when I realized I needed to start writing about things that I know, experiences that I’ve had and times that I’ve come to know just a bit more about myself. I began to write about my diabetes and just what it took to keep up with it. I write about successes, failures, challenges and truths. I’m straight forward with the intention of educating whoever decides to read it. With about 30 million people in the United States diagnosed with Diabetes, Type 1 and 2, I figured that it had to be affecting everyone, not just me and because of that, everyone should take a step forward to get better acquainted with the disorder.

You can find my weekly musings on diabetes here, where I have decided to cover everything from the nutritional, “experimental” and social aspects of having diabetes be a part of your life. Please take a look, leave a comment and like. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

More recently I was asked to be a part of the Diabetes Social Media Advocates ¡DSMA en Vivo! a biweekly radio show dedicated to discussing issues of those with diabetes in order to inform, educate, support and above all else, build community among those people living with diabetes. You can hear this program live at BlogTalkRadio.
